A conviction upon this subsection carries a penalty of a minimum fine of $200.00 and a maximum fine of $400.00, up to 30 days jail time, and license suspension for 6 months for a first offense. For a subsequent offense, an individual is subject to a minimum fine of $400.00, a maximum fine of $600.00, license suspension for a year, and up to 90 days in jail.
(3) If an individual knowingly collides with or is knowingly involved in an accident with any unattended vehicle or other property, resulting in damage to the property, he or she must immediately stop and locate and notify the owner or operate of the vehicle; if the driver cannot find the owner of the unattended property or vehicle, he or she must provide a written notice with his or her name or address or notify the nearest police station. A conviction upon this subsection carries a penalty of a minimum fine of $200.00 and a maximum fine of $400.00, up to 30 days jail time, and license suspension for 6 months for a first offense. For a subsequent offense, an individual is subject to a minimum fine of $400.00, a maximum fine of $600.00, license suspension for a year, and up to 90 days in jail.
